The development of the next release is heading forwards with full force. This means tons of free new features for existing customers who are enjoying their Lifetime Free Upgrades (not to mention more incentive for those of you still pondering whether or not to buy).

As for what features are coming, this is still under wraps. We are however planning to blow the competition out of the water with the biggest and most ambitious upgrade of Aephid Photokeeper to date!

The October Release is now live on our site. This version is a minor upgrade from the Septemeber Release, mainly fixing a few small bugs and also improving some ui related things. A rough list is as follows:

- replaced clumsy photos / textures / templates tab with outlook control
- improved zooming (better control and no more flicker)
- fixed bugs occuring during shutdown and File | New
- fixed bug where mp3 soundtracks were playing with incorrect left right balance

We have updated the tutorial with fresh screenshots (and also a new section on templates). Photokeeper has been given a bit of a facelift, and also fixed were a few minor bugs that managed to find their way into the Septemeber Release. The October Release will be coming your way in a couple of days (or else we will have to call it the November Release).

We have spent a lot of time making sure there are no bugs or glitches, and have polished up a lot of loose ends, and of course added a whole slew of niceties and new features. With fall approaching, we are going at full speed to finish a release version of Photokeeper. Plans for an August / September beta version have been cancelled; rather, we will hold onto the product for an extra few weeks and give you a squeaky clean and tested release.

Improvements have been made to the Create Album Wizard. It also now possible to burn an autoplaying cd that instanly shows slideshows of your albums. Mp3 sound is well on its way, as well as many other improvements that have been made over the past two months.

The slideshow view is in the works, and it's looking very nice right now. We have just implemented the basic version, and are doing bugfixes, and will soon also add some stunning effects. The gui is getting a major facelift by our new computer artist. Also, we plan to add a cd collector wizard, which makes it dead easy for you to organize your photos and albums to a folder ready to be burned onto cd.

These features will all of course be available as a free updade to our May 2001 registered users. For those of you who haven't purchased a license yet, stay tuned for the july beta, as we will be giving out free licenses to the most useful beta testers!
