What do I do when the installer fails with "An error occurred during the data move process" ?

Check to make sure that Photokeeper is not running, and that you have enough space on the hard drive you are installing to.

The installer uses a temporary folder to extract the files required for installation. Sometimes read-only files from other programs get in there and cause problems. The contents of these folders can be safely deleted. Please try the following:

  1. Right click on the Windows Start Button
  2. Explore
  3. Navigate to the
    "c:\Documents And Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Temp"
    folder, where YourUserName is your user name. (Windows 98/Me users see * below)
  4. Make sure that you are in the folder
    ("Temp" is selected in the Folder view at the left pane of Explorer)
  5. Select all the files at the right
  6. Right click on them.
  7. Delete
  8. Now try restarting the computer.
  9. Then retry the installation.

* On Windows 98/Me machines, this folder does not exist. Navigate to "c:\Windows\Temp" instead.
