How do I email screenshots?

Emailing screenshots correctly helps us help you more effecively. This procedure reduces email size and maximizes readability.

  1. Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard (usually above the Home key).
  2. Go Start | Run | type "mspaint" hit OK.
  3. Go Edit | Paste.
  4. File | Save As (save it as PNG if running Windows Xp, or 24-bit BMP if running Windows 2000). Save the file on your Desktop.
  5. Open a new email message using your favourite email program (for example, Outlook Express).
  6. Drag the file you saved on your desktop onto the email message (onto "Subject:" field if using Outlook Express).
